Good Food Catering's business model is more like a restaurant's than a caterer's. “Charlestonians are passionate about restaurant cuisine,” says Good Food Catering Director Tanya Gurrieri, who formerly worked with a prominent catering company in Atlanta . “We immediately knew what we had to do to please this crowd: bring restaurant-quality service, cuisine and wine offerings to the catered environment. Good Food Catering was launched in the summer of 2004 as the contract caterer at both the Embassy Suites and Hampton Inn Historic District. By the fall of that year the catering kitchen was relocated to the historic Rice Mill Building at the City Marina Complex. Shortly thereafter, Good Food Catering renovated and opened the former restaurant space as an amazing new waterfront venue for special events. We now manage that space as an on site property and cater off premise throughout Charleston and beyond. After just one year of business, Good Food Catering had established ourselves on approved catering lists at the top venues in Charleston, catered many prominent social and non-profit events and shared in many happy wedding functions.
